Valtocado Villa - Zoco Home Interior Design Studio

Set high in the Valtocado hills above Mijas Old Town, this Andalusian villa held something rare from the very beginning: a soul already intact.

The owners felt it instantly — in the weight of its whitewashed walls, the warmth of terracotta underfoot, and the way the landscape unfolds between the Sierra and the Mediterranean below, turning each window into a living frame. From the outset, the intention was clear: not to transform, but to reveal.

The brief followed that same instinct — to shape the home around the way they live, while preserving everything that made it feel so inherently right.

What brings an unexpected depth to the interiors are the subtle influences of their years in South Africa. A quiet warmth runs through the space, expressed in an earthy palette of olive, terracotta, and wheat.

Traditional materials take the lead: lime-washed walls, solid wood, handmade tiles. Nothing competing, everything layered with intention.

Our role was simply to listen, and to let that essence come forward.
