Some spaces go beyond design. They become experiences, memories, and moments in time. With the possibility of Nikki Beach Miami closing its doors in 2026, I feel this is a story worth sharing because some places truly deserve to be remembered.

A global collaboration rooted in lifestyle

My journey with Nikki Beach began long before Miami. It started in Marbella, where we first collaborated to create a laid-back yet luxurious atmosphere. From there, our work extended to Mallorca, Ibiza, and Costa Smeralda in Italy. Each destination carried the same spirit: effortless elegance, vibrant energy, and a lifestyle centered around connection and experience.

Over time, this collaboration naturally evolved into a shared vision. Different locations, but one cohesive design language.

The Miami Project: a natural evolution

When the opportunity to work on Nikki Beach Miami came to me, it felt like a natural next step. As the original and most iconic Nikki Beach location, Miami holds a very special place. It’s a destination where thousands of people gather every year to enjoy sun-soaked days, music, gastronomy, and a unique sense of celebration.

Together with Lucia Pernod, Nikki Beach’s CEO, and her team, we set out to elevate the space while staying true to its identity.

Designing a bohemian, elevated experience

At Zoco Home, I led the redesign with a clear intention: to introduce a more refined, natural, and soulful aesthetic without losing the vibrant essence that defines Nikki Beach.

The result was a carefully balanced environment where natural materials meet sun-washed surroundings, where bohemian textures soften the space, and where light, openness, and flow create a relaxed atmosphere.

My goal was to shape an interior that could match the energy of a place where guests come to enjoy live music, international cuisine, signature cocktails, and breathtaking sea views. A space that feels both elevated and effortless.

This project, however, unfolded just before the world changed. Designs were approved, production was completed, and shipments were already on their way when COVID suddenly brought everything to a halt.

Travel restrictions, closed borders, and uncertainty meant that we had to deliver the entire installation remotely. From Spain, my team and I guided every step of the process—from layouts and styling to the final details.

Through constant communication, detailed manuals, and close collaboration with the local Miami team, we managed to bring the project to life despite the distance.

More than a space

The final result stayed true to our vision: natural, warm, and effortlessly refined. But more than that, this project became a story of adaptability, trust, and partnership.

Now, with Nikki Beach Miami potentially closing, it carries an even deeper meaning for me.

Because it was never just about designing a space.

It was about creating a place where people come together. A place that captures a moment, a lifestyle, a feeling.

At Zoco Home, I truly believe that spaces should be lived, felt, and remembered. And some, like Nikki Beach Miami, stay with you long after you’ve left.
