Decorating a Modern Home: Higueron West 217
There is nothing we love more than a challenge! Working in contemporary spaces with little recognition of the natural elements, an essential feature in any home design, our designers find ways to transform these simple properties into beautiful homes that you can fall in love with.
This ground floor apartment had all the potential to become a fresh, boho but modern home that reflects the natural elements and incorporates them into the design.
LIVING ROOM
The living room has a neutral colour scheme with heavy black details that contrast with the natural wood of some elements such as the Jati Natural Bench, used here as a coffee table. The minimalist Scandi style art prints steal the show, driving attention to that space, where we wanted the heart of the home to be.
A plush Tarifa Linen Lounge Sofa in the colour sand graces the centre of this space, providing utmost comfort and a trusty finish to this cozy and inviting space. This space was segregated from the rest of the room using a statement Jute Rug that ensured a collected and organised floor plan.

KITCHEN AND DINING ROOM
We were looking for an open-concept design that respected the seamless flow of the kitchen along to the dining room and living room. Opting for investment pieces that made a statement in each area made sure that the division was there. In the dining area we had the Kabira Dining Table combined with some beautiful ambient lighting above, once again, separating the different ambiances and continuing with the natural/black aesthetic.
BEDROOMS
The bedrooms were decorated for ultimate comfort using natural materials like linen and wool to layer the bedding and add texture with patterned accent pillows from our latest Linen Collection. The colour schemes were kept natural, with lowlights of green to bring the outdoors in and some ethnic Banana Baskets and custom light fixtures that gave the space a unique identity.
OUTDOOR
We can’t talk about this project without mentioning the eternal holiday vibes outdoor lounge starring our bestselling Amaya Outdoor Sofa Collection with an Ibiza style design featuring exotic teak and optic white upholstery. The private pool needed a tanning companion which is why we incorporated the Tulum Teak Sunbed effectively completing this fully functional, sunny, exterior lounge.
