Some homes are made to escape to. Others are made to be shared.
This project in La Alcaidesa was created to do both.

Designed by Zoco Home Interior Design Studio, this duplex reflects a way of living where comfort, functionality, and aesthetic clarity come together effortlessly. Rooted in the essence of mediterranean living, the home was conceived as a space that feels open, welcoming, and naturally connected — not only to its surroundings, but to the people who experience it.

Located in La Alcaidesa, one of the most tranquil coastal enclaves, the project captures the balance between a private retreat and a social home. It is a place to slow down, but also a space ready to host, share, and evolve with its owners.

A home shaped by intention and iconic pieces

From the beginning, the owners had a clear vision of what they were drawn to. Working closely with Zoco Home Interior Design Studio, they selected some of Zoco Home’s most iconic pieces to define the atmosphere of the home.

The Ibiza Haven Sofa anchors the living area with its relaxed silhouette and soft textures, while the Sahara Recycled Teak Dining Table introduces warmth and character through natural materials. In the bedrooms, the Linen Headboard adds softness and calm, reinforcing the home’s understated and timeless aesthetic.

At the same time, practicality was key. Pieces like the Halea Dining Chairs, upholstered in easy-clean fabric, ensure the home is not only beautiful but also functional — designed for everyday living as well as for holiday rental when the owners are away.

This balance between design and usability is central to the philosophy of Zoco Home, where every piece is chosen not just for how it looks, but for how it lives.

Open spaces designed for connection

The layout of this duplex in La Alcaidesa was designed to feel fluid and connected. Downstairs, a double-height living space creates a sense of openness and light. The kitchen, dining, and lounge areas flow seamlessly into one another, extending naturally towards the outdoor terrace.

Statement lampshades play with verticality, drawing the eye upwards and adding warmth to the architecture. The result is a space that feels both expansive and intimate — a key element of contemporary mediterranean living.

Upstairs, three bedrooms — each with its own en-suite bathroom — provide privacy and comfort. The master bedroom opens up to views over the Mediterranean, where carefully selected pieces such as the organic lounge chair and root stool create a quiet corner to pause, read, or simply take in the landscape.

Every detail has been considered to ensure the home feels calm, lived-in, and effortless.

Outdoor living in La Alcaidesa

Outdoor spaces play a central role in this project, reinforcing the connection between interior and exterior that defines mediterranean living. In La Alcaidesa, where the climate invites year-round outdoor living, the terrace becomes a natural extension of the home.

Here, the Kai round dining table in microcement introduces a sculptural and contemporary touch, paired with the Azara dining chairs to create a warm yet refined dining setting. The combination of textures brings balance between raw materiality and comfort.

The lounge area is equally inviting, featuring the Amaya three-seater sofa alongside the Aria lounge chair, creating the perfect outdoor setting for relaxing, gathering, or simply enjoying the surrounding nature. This space captures the essence of Zoco Home’s approach: effortless, tactile, and deeply connected to its environment.

A home that evolves with its owners

More than just a beautifully designed property, this project by Zoco Home Interior Design Studio represents a flexible way of living. A home that adapts — equally suited for quiet personal moments or shared experiences with guests.

In La Alcaidesa, this duplex becomes more than a place to stay. It becomes a space that reflects a lifestyle: open, relaxed, and grounded in the principles of mediterranean living.

At its core, this project embodies the philosophy of Zoco Home — creating spaces that feel natural, timeless, and ready to be lived in. Homes that are not only designed to be seen, but to be experienced.
