Located on the Greek island of Paros, Shahr Isterni Paros is a collection of private holiday homes designed by Zoco Home Interior Design Studio for three families sharing the same vision: creating a place where architecture, nature and everyday life come together naturally.
Surrounded by sea views, sun-drenched terraces and the distinctive landscape of the Cyclades, the project takes its inspiration from the island itself. Rather than competing with its surroundings, the design embraces them, opening the homes towards the outdoors and allowing the light, views and natural environment to shape the experience of each space.
A home designed around the rhythm of island life
In Paros, much of everyday life happens outdoors. Mornings begin slowly, lunches extend into the afternoon, and evenings are spent enjoying the changing light across the sea. Shahr Isterni Paros was designed with this rhythm in mind, with generous terraces, outdoor living areas and a natural flow between interior and exterior spaces.
The connection to the landscape is central to the project. Open spaces invite the outdoors in, while the terraces create opportunities to enjoy the surroundings throughout the day. Every area is designed to make the most of the island's climate and relaxed way of life.
Natural materials and considered interiors
Throughout the homes, the interior design focuses on simplicity, comfort and a strong connection to the Mediterranean landscape. Natural materials, soft tones and carefully selected furnishings create a calm setting that complements the architecture without distracting from the views.
The aim was to create interiors that feel timeless rather than tied to a particular trend. Spaces are designed to be lived in and enjoyed, balancing functionality with the warmth and character that define Zoco Home's approach to Mediterranean living.
Communal areas encourage families to spend time together, while the overall layout prioritises openness and a sense of ease. The result is a collection of holiday homes that feels connected to its location, offering both the comfort of a private retreat and the freedom of island living.
From concept to completion
Shahr Isterni Paros reflects Zoco Home Interior Design Studio's approach to residential projects: understanding the location, the people who will use the space and the way design can bring both together.
From concept development and interior design to project coordination and furnishing, our team works across every stage of the process to create homes that respond to their surroundings and the needs of their owners.
As part of our growing portfolio across the Greek islands, alongside projects in Mykonos and Samos, Shahr Isterni Paros demonstrates our experience delivering residential projects in some of the Mediterranean's most distinctive destinations. Each project comes with its own context and requirements, and our role is to translate that into a cohesive home where architecture, interiors and lifestyle work together.
A client's perspective
For a project involving three families and a shared vision, the experience of bringing everything together is just as important as the finished result. Shahr Isterni Paros reflects the importance of understanding the clients' expectations and translating them into a home that feels personal, functional and connected to its surroundings.
“Working with Zoco Home to bring our vision to life in Paros has been an amazing experience. The attention to detail, the natural feel of the interiors and the way everything connects with the island are exactly what we hoped for. The result is a place we love coming back to and sharing with our family.”

A home shaped by its surroundings
For us, a successful home is one that feels as though it belongs exactly where it stands. In Paros, that means embracing the light, the open landscape and the relationship between indoor and outdoor living.
Shahr Isterni Paros brings these elements together in a collection of homes designed for shared moments, quiet mornings and long days spent enjoying the island. More than a place to stay, it is an invitation to experience the Cyclades at a slower pace, with interiors that support the way people want to live while allowing the surrounding landscape to remain at the heart of the experience.
At Zoco Home Interior Design Studio, we create residential projects that respond to their location and the people who call them home. From the first concept to the final details, our Interior Design Services bring together design, coordination and furnishing to create spaces with a clear identity and a lasting connection to their surroundings.
